0930Hrs - Woke up a bit later because we were too tired from the Taroko Gorges trip.
1000Hrs - We set off for some hot spring in Beitou. We checked out our room in King National Hotel to Han She Business hotel. Han She was nice enough to let us check in at an earlier timing but we just put down our luggage and left for the MRT to XinBeiTou.
We used this map to find our way to Thermal Valley. We heard that it is quite a special place and we had enough time so we went there to take a look.
We reached Thermal Valley in around 10-15min.
Quite a special place. There is a very strong sulphur smell and the waters are around 90degrees! We took some pictures and went around to find a hotel for hot spring. Finally we found this hotel and they charge us NT$1000 for 4 people for hot spring in a room for 1hour. We found that it was quite alright and we waited to go in.
1400Hrs - We went back to MRT to go to Dan Shui.
We were quite hungry and we settled down at a fishball soup stall which has a lot of customers inside and had each a ball of fishballs.
I also heard that we must try the DanShui ice cream when we are here so we asked some people where it is and we realised that we were at the wrong road as the rest of the stalls were near the waters.
Took some scenery shots at DanShui while having the ice cream.
We also bought Te Dan. It is actually preserved eggs. There were many people at the stall and we thought that it will taste good but it was just too hard to munch! Taste was just okay.
1700Hrs - We set off to ShiDa Night Market. Take the MRT and alight at Taipower Building Station and it is just less than a 5min walk from the exit.
This shop sells fried chicken but it is different from the Shilin fried chicken as this stall puts on some honey and fry the chicken. The flavour is different from the Shilin's so I strongly recommend you guys to eat this fried chicken at ShiDa.
This shop sells steamed buns. We chanced upon this stall as there were many people queuing for it. Most of them were waiting for the next batch of meat buns to be out! Haha so you guys know wad to buy from here!
We did not expect ShiDa night market to be so awesome so we did not set aside much time to hang around but do note that they have some shops selling sports stuffs at a discounted rate from Singapore. ShiDa night market is very near the Taipei University and Teachers Training Institute so it is very crowded with university students and teachers so they sell much fashion stuffs there too.
