Malacca2012 Day 3 - 080112

0900Hrs - Woke up later and went for breakfast and they changed their menu again, which is good.

We went back to our hotel and rested for some time before checking out at 1200Hrs.

We then went back to the ngonya restaurant for our lunch.

We then went back to the hotel and waited for the 5 Star Bus to fetch us back to Singapore!

Malacca2012 Day 2 - 070112

0900Hrs - Woke up late and we went to the Club Lounge for breakfast instead of having the breakfast at the 1st Floor.

1000Hrs - We walked to Jonker Street to take a look at the market in the morning.

I think this is a bit overrated and I suggest you get to the chicken rice stall at San Shu Gong area.
This chicken rice stall is what I recommend you guys to eat.

Although the chicken rice was not as good as the one you get in Singapore, the chicken is very sweet and you can really taste chicken for this chicken rice!  Must try and you got to go there before 12 or else you need to queue, especially weekends.
It is located opposite of San Shu Gong.

1200Hrs - We finished lunch and proceeded to the shopping centre again to shop shop and shop!

1730Hrs - We went for the high tea again and it was good as they changed the menu and we treated it as our dinner before proceeding to Jonker Street again to walk around.

1830Hrs - We proceed to Jonker Street and gave the Master Ho's performance a miss! Haha we walked along the Jonker Street and went to try the Asam Laksa which is behind the Jonker stage.

It was quite spicy and we couldnt take it so we dint finish it.  We then went to the other side to watch people sing on the stage.

After watching some of the performances, we went back and bought some Dim Sum along the way which is cheap and nice!

Malacca2012 Day 1 - 060112

0630Hrs - We set off from home to Boon Lay Shopping Centre to take a bus to Malacca.

0800Hrs - We sat on the 5 Star Luxury Bus and it reached Malacca in about 4 Hours.

1200Hrs - We reached Equatorial Hotel which is a 4 to 5 Star hotel in Malacca and we chose this hotel as it is very convenient and we have been to this hotel several times so we knew it was clean and great.

We were told to check in at the 21st floor as we were the Equator Club members.  We then proceeded to the 21st floor Equator Club Lounge and had some welcome drink.  It came as a surprise as 5 Star Travel Agency told us that we need to pay SGD$80 more for 2 nights as it was an upgrade as the normal rooms were fully booked.  We did not know that it was an upgrade to such extent.

The receptionist told us that we can check in and informed us that there is a high tea session prepared for Club members from 1730H to 1930H!  We decided to go for lunch first as we were too hungry!

We then check in and the hotel room was awesome!

1300Hrs - We walked past all the shopping centres nearby and reached one ngonya restaurant for our lunch.
The best chendol I ever had!

1600Hrs - We shopped at the shopping area nearby and did buy some clothes and pants there!

From the map you can see that 'A' is Equatorial Hotel and the shopping area is at both sides of Jalan Merdeka.  The ngonya restaurant is at Jalan Pm 1.

When we reached the hotel, the bell rang and we opened the door.  The hotel management gave us a plate of fruits as our welcome gift.

1730Hrs - We went to the Equator Club Lounge for the high tea and it was not bad.  Just that the coffee and tea were abit cold.  The high tea was quite high class and the waitress asked us if we needed any alcoholic drinks but we refused their offer.  The high tea was very filling and we decided to skip dinner!

1830Hrs - We decided to walk around in Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and bought things again.  We also went to print our photos that we took in Taiwan(if you have been following my blog!)  It was half the price cheaper than in Singapore due to the exchange rate.

1930Hrs - We got out of Pahlawan and walked towards Jonker Street and we were just in time to watch Master Ho performance.  Before I came to Malacca, I have heard of his performance of using his finger to open a coconut.  Though it was my 3rd time there, I have not seen it and was very excited when I got the chance to see him perform.

We watched the first part of Master Ho's performance and left because he was too draggy with his performance towards the end so many of the tourists left.

We then walked around Jonker Street and bought some Ma Ti Su.

2200Hrs - We walked back to the hotel and slept.
