Day 5 - Taipei > National Palace Museum > Shilin NM
0930Hrs - We woke up a bit later as there isn't much on our itinerary that day. We then went to Yong He for our breakfast.
Their soy beam drink is the best in the menu!
1030Hrs - We walked to Xi Men MRT and took to ShiLin MRT then took a bus to National Palace Museum.
We were not allowed to take picture in the museum but it is also one of the must-see attraction in Taiwan! It is one of the places where you can really appreciate the history of China. There are 3 floors in the museum. I suggest that you give the 2nd Floor a miss as it is only about Chinese drawings, vases. The better ones are at 1st and 3rd floor. One of the more popular antique is the Jade Cabbage which is at the 3rd Floor, do not leave the museum without catching a glimpse at it!
1700Hrs - We spent almost half a day at the National Palace Museum and were damn tired after that. We took a bus and MRT to Jiantan Station for SHILIN NIGHT MARKET!
This is the star of ShiLin Night Market. We queued for 15min for the chicken! But it has changed its location from the Temporary Night Market to next to the New Night Market.
We walked along the Shilin Street for a while before heading back to the hotel early as we are waking up early to catch the morning train to Hualien the next day.
